Leslie Charteris (1907-1993) was a British novelist.
Short Biography:
Born in Singapore, his varied career in many exotic occupations gave authentic background to some 40 novels about Simon Templar, the "Saint", a gentleman-adventurer on the wrong side of the law, which have been adapted for films, radio and television.
The first was The Saint Meets the Tiger in 1928.
He became a US citizen in 1946.
