There she attended classes at St. Gertrude, a Catholic high school. She began her modeling career after a selection organized by "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and the Elite Agency in 1990. Today she is grateful to Oprah and recently told her she would not be where she is today without her. She signed a contract with Elite and started appearing in magazines and commercials.
