Leonardo DiCaprio (full name Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio) was born on November 11, 1974 in
Los Angeles, California, United States. He is a three-time Academy Award-nominated,SAG Award-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning American actor who garnered world wide fame for his role as Jack Dawson in Titanic (1997).
Biography and Career :
He is the only son of George DiCaprio, who is an underground comic artist and distributor of comic books, and Irmelin Indenbirken is a former legal secretary. Leonardo had attended John Marshall High School and Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies.
His acting career started in 1989 but he became famous when he received the role in "Titanic" in 1997. Other roles he had
had until now were in movies like "Gangs of New York", "Catch Me If You Can", "Blood Diamond", "The Departed" or "The Aviator".
He posed for many magazines until now and also won many awards. In 2005 he won the Golden Globe award for Best Actor - Motion Picture Drama with the role in "The Aviator". Between 2002 and 2005 he had a romantic relationship with
Gisele Bundchen.
His career is now a successful one and there is no doubt it will continue being this way many years from now on. Besides being talented and intelligent he is also a handsome guy and women would love dating him. He participates at many charity actions and likes helping others.
