Lauren Michael Holly was born on October 28, 1963 in Bristol, Pennsylvania, United States. She is an American actress famous for the role as Deputy Sheriff Maxine Stewart in the TV series Picket Fences and as Mary Swanson in the 1994 film Dumb & Dumber, co-starring Jim Carrey.

Biography and Career :

She had attended Sarah Lawrence College and Geneva High School in Geneva, New York. Grant Holly and Michael Ann are her parents and they taught English Literature at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and history at the University of Rochester.

One of her first roles was in the soap opera "All My Children". Beside that she appeared in more t han fifty movies and television series until now. She is a great actress and has many fans all over the world.

Between 1991 and 1993 she was married to Danny Quinn and between September 1996 and July 1997 to Jim Carrey. On March 10, 2001 she married Francis Greco. The couple has now three adopted children: Alexander, George and Henry. In June 2001 she and her husband adopted a child named Alexander. There is no doubt that she will continue having a successful career many years from now on.
