Laura Ortiz (full name Laura Catalina Ortiz) was born on September 27, 1987, in Bogota, Columbia. She moved to California for her career.
Her first gig was in an advertisement for T-Mobile. But her first notable acting was in the series "Sleeper Cell" in 2005. After that, she was seen in the TV shows "Drake & Josh" and "In Justice".

Soon enough, Laura landed roles in movies "The Hills Have Eyes" (2006) and in "Norbit" (2007). In 2007, she lent her voice to the character of Vickie in the Disney movie "American Dragon: Jake Long". After this, she gave the voice for the character of Jessica in "Horton Hears a Who".
