Kym Marsh (birth name Kimberley Gail Marsh) was born on June 13, 1976 , in Whiston, Knowsley, Merseyside, England. She is a famous English actress and singer. She became famous because of her appearance as a contestant on ITV's talent show Popstars.
Biography and Career :
Her dream was to become a great singer so she began to realize her dream at eleven years old when she started to perform Whitney Houston
covers and at the age of thirteen she launched her first album "One Kiss" to a small label in Liverpool. She became famous after she was chosen one of five components of the band made by ITV's show Popstars.
After the band was made they had to live in a mansion and prepare the launch of their firs
t single and album. Here she became popular after she took attitude about one of the judges, Nigel Lythgoe who advised her to lose weight. The debut single "Hear'Say" stayed for many weeks in the top of the charts and their debut album "Popstars" was sold in over 1.2 millions copies.
After some conflicts with her band mates she decided to start a solo career so in 2003 she signed a contract with Island Records. Her debut single "Cry", went to #2 in the UK singles chart, whilst her 2nd single "Come On Over" made #10. In 2003 appeared her debut album "Standing Tall".
She also started an acting career and played in the hit West End musical Saturday Night Fever at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, "Doctors" playing "Ruth Parry" for the BBC, "Holby City" playing "Myrna Morrison" and in "Hollyoaks: In the City".
