Kim Clijsters was born on June 8, 1983 in Bilzen, Belgium. She is a well known and talented tennis player.
Biography and Career :
Her parents are famous people too. Her father is Lei Clijsters, a former great footballer and her mother is Els Vandecaetsbeek, a former national gymnastics champion. She is proud of her parents, saying she has inherited them both.
* Her junior tennis career is pretty impressive. She won the French Open and the US Open at doubles. In 1997 she became a professional tennis player and since then, until 2007 when she retired she created a great way in the tennis world.
* In 2001 and 2003 she managed to be one of the finalists at the French Open and in 2003 and 2004 at the US Open and Australian Open.
* In 2005 she won her first tit
le of Grand Slam at the US Open. She also won two titles at the WTA Championships.
During her career she had three coaches: between 1992 and 1996 Bart Van Kerckhove, between 1996 and 2002 Carl Maes and Marc Dehous between 2002 and 2005. Her career was great and she can say that she leaves behind ten years of glory and accomplishment.
Regarding her personal life she was fiancee of a famous tennis player, Lleyton Hewitt, for one year and now she has a relationship with the basketball player Brian Lynch. They say that will soon be married.
