Kevin Rudolf was born in New York City, New York. He began playing the guitar from the age of 11 and met the producer Timbaland later on and played for popular artists like Black Eyed Peas, David Banner etc.

He also began composing his own songs and was signed up by Cash Money Records. With them, he released his first album, In The City, in 2008. The first track of the album, Let It Rock, featured Lil Wayne and reached #5 on Billboard Hot 100 charts. The song also became the most requested song in LA, Miami and NYC.
Kevin Rudolf also appeared in an episode of CSI: NY.
