Keri Russell (birth name Keri Lynn Russell) was born on March 23, 1976 in Fountain Valley, California, USA. She is a Golden Globe-winning American actress and dancer.
Biography and Career :
She is the daughter of Stephanie, a homemaker, and David Russell, a Nissan Motors executive. Because of her father's job they moved many times from a place to another so she grew up in Dallas, Texas; Mesa, Arizona and Denver, Colorado.
Her debut in television was made in 1991 in "New Mickey Mouse Club" variety show on the Disney Channel and she appeared here until 1993 near future pop stars like
Christina Aguilera,
Britney Spears, JC Chas
ez, and
Justin Timberlake.
During this years she had roles in "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid" and "Boy Meets World". In 1996 she appeared in Bon Jovi's video "Always" and in "Married with Children".
Between 1998 and 2002 she played in the successful WB Network series "Felicity" and she won a Golden Globe for the role in 1999. During this series she had some roles in "Eight Days a Week", "The Curve" and "Mad About Mambo".
After she finished "Felicity" she played in
Mel Gibson's "We were soldiers". She took a break and she moved in
New York were she debuted on Broadway in the play "Fat Pig".
She came back in 2005 on the TV screens beginning with an appearance in the Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie The Magic of Ordinary Days, theatrical film The Upside of Anger (alongside Kevin Costner, Joan Allen and
Evan Rachel Wood), and the television miniseries Into the West.
