Biography and Career :
She studied at the Burleson High School, Burleson, Texas and wanted to become a marine biologist but the movie "Jaws" made her change her mind. In September 2002 she was the winner of "American Idol" contest and so she became a famous singer. Then in 2003 her first album was released, "Thankful". Besides this she released another two until now.
Until now (2007) she had won many awards including two Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards or twelve Billboard Music Awards. She has a contract with RCA and at the beginning of the year 2007 decided to fire her manager Jeff Kwatinetz. Some of her most successful singles are "A Moment
like This", "Since U Been Gone" or "Because of You".
On September 11, 2002 she was the one who sand the National Anthem at The Day of Service in Washington D.C. She sings pop rock, adult contemporary and country and besides being a singer is a songwriter and actress. With that talent and intelligence she will continue doing a great job in the music industry, there is no doubt.
