Biography and Career :
In 2005 she decided to try her luck and go at an audition for the American Idol contest. She was accepted and at the end of the show she was placed on the 6th place. This is how her career started and in 2006 she released her first album called "Small Town Girl". It was a real success and the young talent became famous.
Some of her singles are "I Wonder", "Red High Heels" or "Things That Never Cross a Man's Mind". They were also used as soundtracks for several movies.
In 2007 she received four nominations: a Country Music Television Awards for Breakthrough Video of The Year, a Academy of Country Music Awards f
or Top New Female Vocalist Of The Year, a Country Music Association Awards for the Horizon Award and a New Music Weekly Awards for New Country Artist of the Year.
She likes helping people around her and does many charity actions including support for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Nashville Predators player Jordin Tootoo and she were involved in a romantic relationship.
