Keeley Hawes was born on 10th February, in London, England, in 1976.
Biography and Career
Born Claire Hawes, Keeley attended the famous Sylvia Young Theatre School ust opposite her home, and soon, he amazing voice could be heard at the elocution lessons she took as part of the school's curriculum.
Her career started when she was 16, being spotted by a modeling agent in London. She kept at it for 18 months, but she finally left after she felt she did not enjoy modeling. She then went on to work at the Cosmopolitan, as a fashion assistant. Her big break came when her past modeling photos were spotted by a TV exec, and they cast her in a TV film, 'Karaoke' (1996).
Following her first appearance, she went on to roles in 'The Beggar Bride' (1997), 'The Avengers' (1998) and '
The Blonde Bombshell' (1999), for which she rose to prominence. Other roles kept coming for Keeley, and she rose to another level when she portrayed a lesbian in 'Tipping The Velvet' (2002).
Keeley's most memorable role was in 'Spooks/MI5' (2002), where she played an undercover agent. On the set, she met her second husband, Matthew Macfayden. After leaving Spooks, she was cast in other television drams and films like 'Marple' (2006), 'Macbeth' (2006), 'Under the Greenwood Tree' (2007) and 'The Best Man' (2007). Keeley also lent her voice to Lara Croft, in 'Lara Croft Tomb Raider' (2006), and reprised this voice portrayal for the next game in line.
Keeley's more recent credits include 'Mutual Friends' (2008), 'Ashes to Ashes' (2008), 'The Bank Job' (2008) and 'Flashbacks of a Fool' (2008). Keeley was awarded Best UK Television Actress Award in 2008 by Glamour Awards for her role in 'Ashes to Ashes'
