I want to know if Miss Kay Lenz is the mother of Bethony Joy Lenz on One Tree Hill. I saw all her movies love her as an actress. Hers was the very first raspy voice I ever heard. I miss seeing her acting.

Why should Kay Lenz be famous? Is that what I am supposed to comment on?
I can't remember if I first saw her on "American Graffiti" or "Breezy." However, it was the former, just one little scene, that zapped her image into my brain. I am never able to think of "American Graffiti" without remembering that pretty face. "Breezy" I hated that movie when I saw it in the theater, but not the actress, nor even the character. I just thought the movie sucked. However, I have seen it since, and I think it is absolutely charming. I cannot be objective in stating why Kay Lenz should be famous; so from a subjective view I will answer that she has a certain screen persona that captured my attention from the first time I noticed her. I have endured some drippy TV programs just to enjoy that persona. And, Ms. Lenz, if you should ever read this, will you please send me an autograph?
