Biography and Career :
She grew up in Tarzana, California and she is the daughter of Kim Bullard, a session keyboardist and her mother a backup singer. Her childhood wasn't a normal one and she was exposed to a life full of travels, parties and rock.
At the age of thirteen she had her first sex experiences and also contacts with drugs. In the same time she began to write songs and "Mermaid Jane" was the first of them. Most of her songs were inspired by her drama in her life, her thoughts and her vision about the world.
After a couple of years she signed her first contract with a music label and that was V2 Records and she recorded
her first songs which were two soundtracks : "Lemon" for Thirteen and "Teaching Myself to Dream" for Agent Cody Banks. In 2004 her debut album "Because I Can" appeared and it was appreciated. It includes songs like "Lemon" and "Teachin' Myself to Dream" and also the single "Overdrive" which was on the soundtrack of the movie "Mean Girls".
After 2005 she wrote about fifty songs and on June 4, 2007 she produced her second album "Candy Eyed". She announced that in 2008 her third album "Tangled but True" will appear. She was compared many times by the critics with Liz Phair, Fiona Apple, Avril Lavigne, and Alanis Morissette.
