Katie Cassidy (birth name Katherine Evelyn Anita Cassidy) was born on November 25, 1986 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is an American singer and actress.

Biography and Career :

She is the illegitimate daughter of '70s pop idol David Cassidy and former model Sherry Benedon. She spent her childhood in the spotlights and started to play guitar and piano on local theatres' stages when she was very young. Her mother told her that she would not start her career until she finished high school so after she graduated from Calabasas High School she attended NYU's Tisch School of Performing Arts.

In 2004 she worked as a model for Abercrombie and Fitch and Rock and Republic's line. She had a role in "7th Heav en" and after this she played in a few episodes of "Sex, Love & Secrets", The Division (2003), Listen Up (2005) and The Lost (2005).

In 2006 she had a small role in horror "When a Stranger Calls" and she also played in "Click" opposite Adam Sandler. After this she played good roles in Walk the Talk (2006), You are Here (2006) and Live! (2007).

In 2007 obtained the role of Lucy Ewing in "Dallas" against Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan and in 2008 they will start filming. Also in 2008 she will start filming for The CW supernatural television drama "Supernatural".
