Kateryna Bondarenko was born on August 8, 1986 in Krivyi Rig, Ukraine. She is a professional tennis player.

Biography and Career :

She first touched the ball and started playing tennis when she was only four years old. In 2000 she became a professional tennis player. Her parents are Vladimir and Natalia and they have another two daughters, except Kateryna: Valeriya and Alyona. The last one is also a tennis player.

She is coached and trained by her own mother, Natalia Bondarenko. When she is not on the tennis court, she likes listening to music and considers this a very relaxing activity. She is a right handed player and has a double handed backhand. Her favorite surface to play on is clay.

On June 11, 2007 she reached the 39th position in Top 100 and this is the highest position she ever had until now (2007). She hasn't yet qualified or participated at the Australian Open.

In 2005 and 2007 at Wimbledon she managed to play in the first round but she was eliminated every time. In 2006 she reached the second round at Wimbledon and this is her best performance at a Grand Slam event.

At the French Open she played into the second round in 2007, but lost that round and couldn't continue in the next. With hard training and being a serious player she can have good results in the future.
