Kate Walsh (birth name Kathleen Erin Walsh) was born on October 13, 1967 in San Jose, California, USA. She is an American actress.
Biography and Career :
She grew up partly in San Jose and partly in Tucson, Arizona. After she moved in Arizona she graduated from Catalina High School and attended to University of Arizona and began to study theatre. During the 1980s was a model in Japan but soon she moved back in America, in Chicago this time and started to work at Piven Theatre Workshop.
After she won the respect of her mates with her performance on the National Public Radio production of Born Guilty Kate said to herself that she can do more then that and she moved in
New York to work on Broadway, so she joi
ned the comedy troupe Burn Manhattan on June 27, 1987.
Her first appearance at television was in 1997 in "The Drew Carey Show" and she played the role of an obese women. Soon after this she took other roles in other television series like: "The Mind of the Married Man", "The Norm Show", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "Karen Sisco".
Her really big success came in 2005 when she got the role of Dr. Addison Montgomery in "Grey's Anatomy". Although the role was a short one, only for five episodes, her play convinced the producer to make it a bigger one. In September 2007 signed a contract for television commercials for Cadillac CTS and she appeared with her memorable quote in the series: "When you turn your car on, does it return the favor?".
She also played in films like: "Normal Life", "Peppermills", "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer Part 2", "Bewitched", "Wake Up", "Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie" and "Under the Tuscan Sun".
