Katarina Srebotnik was born on March 12, 1981 in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia. She is a tennis player. Fans call her Kata.

Biography and Career :

* In 1998 she won the title as a junior at Wimbledon. Her career started in a nice way.
* Between 1999 and 2005 she won the titles at Estoril, Acapulco, Auckland and Stockholm. The first two were won on clay against Rita Kuti Kis and Paola Suarez and the next two on hard, against Shinobu Asagoe and Anastasia Myskina.
* In 2002 she participated at the French Open, but stopped in the fourth round. Next year she played in the third round at the Australian Open.
* At Wimbledon she participated and played in the third round in 2005, 2006 and 2007. The same performance was obtained in 2006 at the US Open.

* Her doubles res ults are better regarding the Grand Slam tournaments. In 2006 she played the final at US Open where her partner was Dinara Safina. In 2007 she and her partner, Ai Sugiyama, were present in the finals of the French Open and Wimbledon.
* In 1999 she won the mixed doubles title at Roland Garros along Piet Norval and also in 2006 along Nenad Zimonjic. Another mixed doubles title was won in 2003 at US Open with her partner Bob Bryan. Her doubles titles won during the years are 34.

She is talented and has worked a lot as the results were seen. If she will suffer no injuries and will work as hard as she has done until now, she can be a great player and achieve many titles.
