Kadee Strickland was born in Blackshear, Georgia, in 1975.
Biography and Career
Born Katherine Dee Strickland, to Susan and Dee Strickland, Kadee is an American actress, and had started acting when she was still in high school. During her childhood, she was well-known in her town for her extra-curricular activities such as being Homecoming Queen in elementary, middle and high school, and also being the student council president and a cheerleader. Kadee had never considered a career in acting, until she participated in a play performed by students of her high school.
Kadee studied acting in Philadelphia, in the University of the Arts, and in New York City. She also garnered several small roles in film, television and theater, during that period. Kadee has also joined the S
creen Actors Guild during that period of time. Among one of those appearance, was in the movie, 'The Sixth Sense'. In late 2003, Kadee moved to Los Angeles, California.
In 2003, her appearance in Hollywood films 'Anything Else' and 'Something's Gotta Give', earned her significant parts in 'Anacondas' and 'The Grudge', which were filmed in 2004. As these movies were released, Kadee earned the informal title of 'the pride of the Patterson' and also as horror fandom's 'newest scream queen'. In spite of those titles, her appearance in those films has received mixed critical reviews.
The year 2005 saw Kadee getting positive critical comments for her romantic comedy 'Fever Pitch'. She was cast in a regular television show, titled 'The Wedding Bells' in 2007, and was also added to the cast of 'Private Practice'.
