Jyothika was born on October 18, 1978 in Bombay, India. She is a famous actress.
She did her schooling in Chembur Muslim School in Mumbai and later left her psychology course in order to pursue her acting career in movies.

Jyothika is famous for her Tamil movies and also got married to one of the Tamil actor Surya Sivakumar, whom she date for three years. She started her career with the move, "Doli Saja Ke Rakhna" in 1998. Most of her movies are in Tamil language.

Jyothika has acted in many movies such as: "Kushi", "Rhythm" and "Dhool". Although she is the sister of former actress, Nagma butlike her sister Jyothika also faced many downs in the her career. At present she is married to Surya.

She is famous for her role as Vani in the movie, " Little John" directed by Srinivasa Rao Singeetham and written by Mark Zaslove.
