Justine Henin (full name Justine Henin-Hardenne) was born on June 1, 1982 in Liege, Belgium. She is a famous tennis player and current World No. 1.
Biography and Career :
At the age of 12 she lost her mother, who died of cancer. Her family is pretty numerous: she has also two brothers and one sister. Another child of her parents died before she was brought to life. The relationship with her father was not a good one. In 2007 she contacted her family again, after a long period of time.
* Carlos Rodriguez has been her only coach since she was 14 and they have a very resourceful collaboration. Her first title as a junior came in 1997 when she won the French Open.
* Many saw her as a great champion. Her talent was obvious and she had only to work a lot, thing she has
done. In 1999 she became a professional player and won at the Belgium Open, at Antwerp.
* 2001 was an important step in her career. She was a semi-finalist at the French Open and finalist at Wimbledon.
* Until now she has won the French Open four times. Other Grand Slams she had won are he Australian Open in 2004 and US Open in 2003.
* The only title she doesn't have is the Wimbledon, but specialists are sure she will win it in 2007.
On November 16, 2002 she married Pierre-Yves Hardenne, but unfortunately they divorced in 2007.
