Biography and Career :
Julia was born in a rich family because her father was a very good software technician who became millionaire around the age of 30. She was the second of the five children of the family. Unfortunately for her family, her father left them when Julia was still young.
Her grandparents were artists so they induced the preference for art and she attented Cranleigh, a private school but soon after this she discovered that she doesn't like very much art and wanted to become an actress. She transferred to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, where she graduated in 1988.
She appeared in the play "Wuthering Hei
ghts" and with this occasion she met the one that would be her first husband, Rory Edwards. On April 1989 married with Rory Edwards but they divorced in 1994. In 1999 married with Jon Rubin.
In 1989 she won the London Drama Critic's Award for "the best newcomer" with a role in the play "Faith, Hope and Charity". With the roles in The Baby of Mācon (1993) and Captives (1994) Julia became famous at Hollywood but her major role which put her in the first place was in the movie Legends of the Fall (1994) where she had as partner the great actor
Brad Pitt.
In 1995 she accepted Audrey Hepburn's role in the revival of Sabrina and it was a success for her. After this she appeared in other movies like Smilla's Sense of Snow (1997), Sibirskiy tsiryulnik (1998) [The Barber of Siberia] and Resistance (2003).
