Juan Carlos Ferrero was born on February 12, 1980 in Onteniente, Spain. He is a great tennis player.

Biography and Career :

He is very talented and hard-worker and on the 8th of September 2003 he became World's Number One. He has won until now eleven titles, but any doubles title.

* He started playing tennis when he was a child and as a junior his best result came in 1998 when he reached the final at the Roland Garros. His opponent was Fernando Gonzalez who managed to win the game. After one year, in 1999, he turned professional.

* He has great results at the Grand Slam tournaments. He won the Roland Garros in 2003 after a final against Martin Verkerk. One year before he had played the final, but didn't win it. Albert Costa turned out to be in a better shape. In 2003 he played another Grand Slam final at US Open but lost to Andy Roddick with the score 6-3, 7-6, 6-3. One year later he played the semi-final at Australian Open, but stopped there because Roger Federer beat him. In 2007 he played the quarter-finals at Wimbledon, but again Roger Federer stopped him to continue.

* The tournaments won were on clay and hard at Majorca, Dubai, Estoril, Barcelona, Rome, Monte Carlo, Hong Kong, Valencia and Madrid. He had great opponents in the finals like Alex Corretja, Marat Safin, Carlos Moya, Gustavo Kuerten, Guillermo Coria or Nicolas Massu.

During the years he has fought with all his power and tried to show his best on court. Maybe someday he will be again World's Number One as he did it in 2003.
