Josh Brolin (full name Joshua J. Brolin) was born on February 12, 1968, in Templeton, California. His father is actor James Brolin. After appearing in the movie A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), he decided to embark on an acting career.
His role in the movie The Goonies (1985) was well received and he appeared on the show Private Eye in 1987, though he had received an offer from the show 21 Jump Street. He appeared in the movies Finish Line (1989) along with his father and acted in the show The Young Riders till 1992. During the rest of the decade, he acted in movies like Flirting with Disaster (1996), Mimic and The Mod Squad.
