John Quincy Adams was born to John Adams and his wife Abigail Adams on Saturday, July 11, 1767 in Province of Massachusetts Bay, British America. He was the 6th President of the United States.
Biography and Career:
In his childhood he witnessed the battle of Bunker Hill. His big part of young age was spent with his father abroad. He got his early education from the well known institutes. He completed his graduation from Harvard University. When he did his master he was a complete lawyer and entered in the law Bar in 1791 and began started practicing law in Boston.
John Quincy Adams was a very popular U.S diplomat and was the 6th president of U.S. he offered his services both in senate as well as Representatives House. He remained involved as an active and efficient member o
f federalist, D. Republican and Whig parties etc.
John Quincy Adams was elected as Minister to Netherlands and Portugal in 1796. He remained foreign minister and married Louisa Catherine Johnson and became the 1st America president to have wife belonging to foreign.
In the cabinet of James Monroe he served as secretary of state. As a diplomat he got himself involved in many international affairs with good negotiations and tried his level best in the formulation of Monroe's Doctrine.
Adams served as U.S President in 1825. Hs great contributions were construction of new infrastructure, development of America system and tried to improve education and life of a common man. He also tied to Modernization program.
Adams lost his re-election in 1828 against Andrew Jackson. After leaving office he was elected as Representative of U.S and served for 17 years. He remained a leading opponent of slave power. His last words were "This is the last of earth I am content" and died on 28 February 1848.
