John Kerry (full name John Forbes Kerry) was born on December 11, 1943 in Aurora, Colorado, USA. He is a politician who candidate in the United States 2004 presidential election.
Biography and Career :
His father’s name is Richard Kerry and he was a Second World War Army Air Corps test pilot and attorney for the Bureau of United Nations Affairs. Rosemary Forbes Kerry is his mother and she was a World War II nurse and member of the wealthy Forbes family.
On March 26, 1969, after a final patrol the night before, Kerry was transferred to Cam Ranh Bay to await his orders. He was there for five or six days and left Vietnam in early April. On April 11, 1969, he reported to the Brooklyn-based Atlantic Military Sea Transportation Service, where he would remain on active duty for th
e following year as a personal aide to an officer, Rear Admiral Walter Schlech
He had attended the Fessenden School in West Newton, St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire and Yale University and got a Bachelor of Arts degree. He had his military service between 1966 and 1970 and after he entered the politics. He also fought in the Vietnam War and today is a Vietnam War Veteran.
During the years he tried doing his best for his country and its people and became a famous politician. Between 1973 and 1988 he was married to Julia Stimson Thorne. They have two children. On May 26, 1995 he married Teresa Heinz Kerry.
Between 1983 and 1985 he was Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts. In 2003 he had a surgery for prostate cancer. Now (2007) he is doing a great job as junior senator for Massachusetts and Chairman of the United States Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
Immediately after the 2004 election, some Democrats mentioned Kerry as a possible contender for the 2008 Democratic nomination. His brother has said such a campaign is "conceivable," and Kerry himself reportedly said at a farewell party for his 2004 campaign staff, "There's always another four years."
