John K. Singlaub (full name John Kirk Singlaub) was born on Sunday, July 10, 1921 in Independence, California, USA. He is an ex OSS officer and a retired Major General in the United States Army. He is also the founder of the Central Intelligence Agency famously known as the CIA.
Biography and Career:
He did his graduation at Van Nuys High School. In 1939 he went to the University of California at Los Angeles. On 14th January 1943 he was commissioned as the Second lieutenant of infantry after he completed his graduation.
He was the head of the CIA operations in the postwar Manchuria during the Chinese Communist revolution he also directed the troops in the Korea War and handled the secret war down the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Vietnam and he also worked with the Contras in Nicara
gua. Oliver North and William Casey, Director of Central Intelligence are known to him personally. He has also involved in the Iran-contra affair.
The Western Goals Foundation was founded by John Singlaub, John Rees and Democratic Congressman from Georgia Larry McDonald in 1979.
When he was in the military services he was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Silver Star, the Legion of Merit with two Oak Leaf clusters, the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf cluster, the Air Medal with Oak Leaf cluster, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Purple Heart. His other awards that he was awarded are French Croix de Guerre with Palm and Bronze Star devices, British Mention in Dispatches oak leaf, as well as decorations from China, the Netherlands, and the Republic of Vietnam.
