John Culshaw (1924-1980) was a British record producer, who developed recording techniques.
Short Biography:
Managing classical recordings for the Decca record company in the 1950s and 1960s, he introduced echo chambers, and the speeding and slowing of tapes, to achieve effects not possible in live performance.
He produced the first complete recordings of Wagner's Ring cycle.
