Joel Madden is having a good influence on Nicole Ritchie since they started going out together. He just broke up with Hilary Duff when started his thing with Nicole. Nicole had her problems with Paris Hilton but her relationship with Joel Madden made her a bit more mature regarding partying and going out like celebrities do.
People were always asking about the unhealthy weight Nicole Richie had but finally she managed to gain some weight during her pregnancy which apparently made Joel happy. Finally Richie looked like a healthy young woman.
Unfortunately for Nicole's health something went wrong and she lost the weight she gained and close friends say that this made Joel mad and had quite a big influence on their whole relationship. This wasn't confirmed though. The media started spreading rumors that they are going to separate but they proved the contrary and announced that they are planning their wedding at the moment. People were even more amazed when the couple also declared that Nicole was expecting their second child. However, they also decided to get married before the baby is born. Rumors about the Yves Saint Laurent dress that Nicole is going to wear at her wedding might be true since the couple really wants to make this wedding very special and they are insisting in having it before their next baby is born.
Nicole Ritchie and Joel Madden started dating in December 2006 and it seems like this relationship made Nicole a bit more mature.

Although nobody was expecting it, Nicole had a baby in January 2008 making them an even happier couple. Their daughter was called Harlow Winter Kate Madden, a strange name, but we are all accustomed with the Hollywood style when it comes to name giving. It seems like Nicole finally renounced the self-destructive night life she was living before meeting Joel and embraced motherhood. Things seemed to be on the right track for both Nicole and Joel.
