She spent her childhood in Boulder, Colorado. As a fashion model, she appeared in Victoria's Secret fashion shows and was one of their most important models. After getting married,she didn't go to fashion shows as much as she used to. She is an actress too and appeared in movies like "Friends" and "The Uninvited".

On April 16, 1994 she married Harry Connick Jr. and on April 17, 1996 was born their first child, Gerogia Tatom. One year later on September 12 Sara Kate, their second child was born and because they love very much children in 2002 they had anothe r one, Charlotte.
