Gerard William Trainor also known as Jerry Trainor is an American character actor. His fame is attributed to his role as Spencer Shay in iCarly.

Jerry was born on January 21st, 1977 at San Diego, California, USA. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 170lbs.He has light brown eyes and brown hair.

Jerry did his high school from University of San Diego. Jerry’s mother taught calculus and pre-calculus at the same school. He did his college from University of California in BFA in Drama. His hobbies include riding motorcycles, playing bass guitar and video games.

Jerry began his acting career in 2000. His first role was as Eric in MTV Undressed. His feature film debut was in a 2001 thriller Donnie Darko. He played a lanky boy’s role in this movie. His

In 2002, he made g uest appearance in on two TV shows Angel and ER. In 2003, he did a short film "Wrong Hollywood Number". He got a jackpot when he was selected to play the role of "Crazy Steve" in TV sitcom "Drake and Josh", this was a recurring role but people came to now him after this. "Pieces of Dolores" was his short film in 2007.

In 2007, Jerry got his first lead role in a television sitcom "iCarly". Jerry plays a wild character without the really wacko side in iCarly, as Carly's big bro, Spencer.

Spencer is an artist and is in charge of Carly since her dad is overseas in the military. This TV sitcom has already completed four seasons.

Recently in 2010 he received Favorite Kid’s Choice TV show award. He shared this award with other cast of iCarly. Along with this a Nickelodeon TV movie based on iCarly "iCarly: iPsycho" was made. Another film in 2010 was "Best Player".
