Jennylyn Mercado was born on October 14, 1987, in the Philippines. She was separated by her biological parents at the age of 4.

Biography and Career:

She was adopted and raised by her aunt, Lydia Mercado. Jennylyn was brought up in the city of Paranaque, Metro Manila. While in high school, she found a place in the popular reality show Starstruck. This paved the way for her acting and singing career.

So Happy Together (2004) was her debut film, and Let the Love Begin (2004) was her second. She also starred in Blue Moon (2006).

Her next film was the historical love story Eternity (September, 2006). During that time, she also starred in the soap I Luv NY with Mark Herras.

In 2006, she released her debut album Letting Go. She also played in her debut chief gig "Music In Me".

Why is she famous?

She is famous as a reality-show star turned singer and actress. She was seen on the stages of the reality show Starstruck and also appeared in a number of movies, including the love-story Eternity. As a singer she has also released her debut album Letting Go (2006).
