Jason Derulo was born on September 21, 1989 in Miramar, Florida.
Biography and Career :
He has been performing since he was 5. He studied at Dillard High School of the Performing Arts opera, theater and ballet. He graduaded the New York Musical and Dramatic Academy.
At age of 12 he met his manager and he began working as a songwriter, writing songs for P. Diddy, Lil Wayne, Danity Kane, Donnie Klang, Sean Kingston, Cassie, Lil Mama and Iyaz. Since he was 16 he become a solo performer and he began studying arts aschool for music and dancing.
He made a big performance at "Showtime at the Apollo" in 2006.
He was dicovered by the producer J.R. Rotem who signed him to Warner Bros. Records.
His debut single "Watcha Say" was released in on May 5, 2009 and it was produ
ced by J.R. Rotem and Fuego. The song had seamples from Imogen Heap song "Hide and Seek". On August 30, 2009 the song debuted at number 54 on Billboard Hot 100 but soon on November 14, 2009 the song picked number 1 at Billboard Hot 100. The sold digital sold over 1.7 million copies.
He is currently working on his debut album which is gonna be released in early 2010 and now he is opening Lady Gaga's shows from her tour "The Monster Ball Tour".
