Janice Dickinson (full name Janice Doreen Dickinson) was born on February 15, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York. She had a troubled family and moved to New York City in the beginning of the 70's. There she began her career as a model.
Being unable to find a modelling job in New York, she moved to Paris.
There she was well accepted in the modeling scene. After getting a start to her modeling career, Janice Dickinson relocated to New York in 1978.
She had risen to such heights towards the beginning of the 80's that Janice Dickinson began referring herself as a supermodel.
With ever-growing reputation, her fans found Janice Dickinson spread across Playboy,
Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. In addition to this, she endorsed labels like Giorgio Armani, Versace and Calvin Klein.
She has dated Sylvester Stallone and Jack Nicholson among others. After fading away for a while, she returned back to the scene with her autobiography "No Lifeguard on Duty: The Accidental Life of the World's First Supermodel". She was also among the judges of the first, second, third and fourth seasons of America's Next Top Model. After that she opened her own self-titled modelling agency.
She was also seen in a number of TV programs like Charmed, The Surreal Life and I'm a Celebrity... Get me Out of here! In 2004, she launched her second book "Everything About Me is Fake... And I'm Perfect".
