Jamie O'Neal (birth name Jamie Murphy) was born on June 3, 1968 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She is a singer and songwriter.

Biography and Career :

In 2000 she started her music career and since then she has been singing country music, as well as writing it. Between 2000 and 2003 she had a contract with Mercury Nashville Records and since 2004 with Capitol Records/EMI.

She released her debut album, "Shiver", in 2000 and after five years released "Brave". Her husband is helping her very much and is considered a leader because he helps her as singer, songwriter and recording engineer.

She is a very talented musician and has fans all over the world. When she started her career she used to be a baking singer for Kylie Minogue's Enjoy Yourself Tour of Australia, UK, Europe and Far East Asia.

During the years she received Billboard's "Top New Country Artist", ACM's "Top New Female Vocalist", Gavin's "Top Country Artist" Awards and was nominated for four Grammy awards, three CMA awards and one AMA award.

Some of her most famous singles are "There is No Arizona", "When I Think About Angels", "Shiver", "Every Little Thing", "Trying to Find Atlantis", "Somebody's Hero" or "I Love My Life". On August 26, 2000 she married Rodney Good. The couple has one child, Aliyah Kailin Good, who was born in June 2003.
