Biography and Career:
James Welch was an award winning author and poet of U.S. His father and Mother were the member of Blackfeet tribe and Gros Ventre tribe respectively.
He did his school in Blackfoot and fort Belknap. Welch studied under Richard Hugo in University of Montana.Welch was teaching in the University of Washington, Cornell.
He was also serving the Parole Board of the Montana Prisons Systems. And he was one of the Board of Directors of the Newberry Library D'Arcy McNickle Center.
He started his career in the University, where his words became as an achievemnt and got precious awards in his life time.
