James Marsden (full name James Paul Marsden) was born on September 18, 1973, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. In his early life, he wanted to be an athletic but later resorted to acting while at the Oklahoma State University.

His first television appearance was in the show, The Nanny, in 1993. During the following years, he got several small roles in TV series and movies. These small roles helped him get a major role in the TV show Second Noah. After that, he worked in a number of well-received movies like Disturbing Behaviour (1998), Gossip (2000) and the same year in X-Men as Cyclops.

Next up was a prominent role in the show Ally McBeal and appeared in a number of movies which include The 24th Day (2004), The Notebook (2004) and Heights (2005). In addition to these, James Marsden appeared in two more X-Men movies as Cyclops which include X2 (2003) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006). That year, he also appeared in Superman Returns.
James Marsden’s movies in 2007 were Enchanted and Harispray and, in 2008, were 27 Dresses and Sex Dive. His upcoming movies include The Box and Nailed.
