Biography and Career :
Gilles Villeneuve is his father and he was also a racing car driver. In 1995 he became the CART World Champion and Indianapolis 500 winner. After two years he became the Formula One Championship.
In 1996 he started his professional career as a Formula One driver at the Williams team. His mate there was Damon Hill. He did his best in the first season, won four races and went for the title against Hill, but he lost.
In 1999 he was competing for British American Racing team and remained with them four seasons. Renault was his next team at the end of the year 2004 and the next season competed for Sauber.
In 2006 Sauber he w
as taken by BMW and he suffered an injury in Germany. He had to stay out for a while, and when came back didn't do it in Formula One but at sportscar racing, where competed along Peugeot in the 2007 24 Hours of Le Mans and then moved to NASCAR in August 2007.
On May 29, 2006 he married Johanna Martinez and they have one child named Jules who was born in November 2006. He was engaged to Dannii Minogue, but in 2001 broke up. In 2007 he decided to start a music career and released his debut album, "Private Paradise".
