Her fathers' name is David Velasquez and he is member of the Christian trio The Galileans. When she was twenty-one years old her parents divorced and she was affected.
In 1996 she started her music career and sings CCM Rock Pop, Indie Pop and Latin Pop. "Heavenly Place" is her debut album released in 1996, and besides this she released another thirteen.
Sixteen of her singles were placed on the first position in charts. On August 16, 2003 she married Darren Potuck, but after two years the couple divorced. In December 2006 she decided to remarry and her husband is Nic Gonzalez. In November 2007 the couple is expectin
g a child.
She worked as guest columnist for Campus Life Magazine. President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush invited her to sing in Washington, D.C. at the White House Salute to Gospel Music in 2002.
