J. D. Fortune (birth name Jason Dean Norman Bennison) was born on September 1, 1973 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. He is a musician who became famous after winning the reality television series Rock Star: INXS in 2005 and then became singer of INXS.
Biography and Career :
He spent part of his childhood in Salt Springs, Pictou County, Nova Scotia. His grandfather used to sing so he started singing when he was very young. He studied at the Cawthra Park Secondary School and West Pictou Consolidated School but didn't finish it.
His career as a singer had ups and downs but finnaly he became popular after performing at Friendship Festival and at Toronto's Skydome. Luck came to him at the reality television serie
s Rock Star: INXS in 2005 when he became the lucky winner and also a singer for IMXS.
Before winning the competition he lived in his care with his dog. He served in the Canadian military and worked as a martial arts teacher and Elvis impersonator. Now (2007) he is planning to release a solo album, "Death of a Motivational Speaker", in the fall of 2007.
He participates and co-writes the songs of INXS and told he met the brother of INXS' first lead singer, Michael Hutchence. With his great voice and talent we are sure he will continue having an amazing success and his career too.
