Ianis Zicu (full name Ianis Alin Zicu) was born on October 23, 1983 in Constanta, Romania and he is a famous Romanian soccer player. Ianis Zicu

Biography and Career :

Ianis Zicu began his career playing for Dinamo Bucharest. He made his first appearance in the First Romanian Division(Divizia A) in 2000, when he was only 17 years old, while he was playing for Dinamo Bucharest in a match versus Gaz Metan Medias. The match ended with Dinamo’s victory with 4:2, the perfect start for the 17 years old striker.

The second season at Dinamo Bucharest (2001 - 2002) brought Zicu the total success; he became champion of Romania at only 18 years old.
Still very young Ianis Zicu didn’t manage to win his place in the first 11 at Dinamo Bucharest so he was transferred t o a smaller team from the internal competition : Farul Constanta (team from his birth place) in the season 2002-2003.

After the perfect season spent at Farul Constanta, Zicu proves he’s a fabulous striker and the next season he got back to Dinamo Bucharest.

Dinamo won the title again the next season 2004-2005, but at the middle of the championship they lost Ianis Zicu. Even though he hadn’t become an essential player for Dinamo, his fabulous skills drawn the attention of many important clubs from outside and they bought him right away.

Even though all his friends recommended him to stay one more season to Dinamo, Zicu couldn’t stand the temptation and he signed a contract with AC Parma. It turned out to be a wrong decision, Zicu played for AC Parma 2 in the second Italian Division and didn’t manage to accomplish much.
In 2005 Ianis Zicu got back to Dinamo Bucharest and played 2 more seasons here, but it seemed like Zicu was going to be a wasted talent. His skills didn’t match his performances.

In 2006 Ianis Zicu amazed everybody and he agreed to play for Rapid Bucharest, on of Dinamo’s biggest rivals from the internal competition.

After all predictions Zicu still has a lot to prove in this sport, and we all know he has the skills and talent he needs.
