Hugh Jackman was born on October 12 1968 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He is a popular actor especially for his role as Logan, the Wolverine, in "X-Men".

Biography and Career :

In 1976 his parents separated. Besides him they have another four children: Ian, Ralph, Sonya and Zoe. He has become a television and stage actor and had important roles in movies like "The Prestige", "The Fountain", "Van Helsing", "Kate & Leopold", "Swordfish", "X-Men" or "Oklahoma!".

His talent is obvious and he has millions of fans all over the world. Two of his first roles were in "Erskineville Kings" and "Paperback Hero" in Australia. Then he played Curly in "Oklahoma!" at the Royal National Theatre in England.

Since 2000 he started appearing in American movies and his voice was use d for on of the characters in "Happy Feet". On April 11, 1996 he married Deborra-Lee Furness. They have two children.

He received many awards including a Variety Club, a Mo and a Green Room Award as best male actor in a musical with the role in "Sunset Boulevard". In 2000 he adopted a boy, Oscar Maximillian Jackman, and in 2005 a girl, Ava Eliot Jackman. He is a great father, actor and husband and there’s no doubt his career will continue in a successful way from now (2007) on too!
