Helen Mirren

Helen Mirren Helen Mirren (birth name Illiana Lydia Petrovna Mironova) was born on July 26, 1945 in Chiswick, London, England, UK. She is a great actress.

Biography and Career :

She comes from an aristocratic family from Russia, her grandfather being Tsarist Piotr Vasilievich Mironoff. She studied at the St. Bernard's High School in Southend-on-Sea, which is a Catholic girls' school and the New College of Speech and Drama in London.

In 1963 she entered National Youth Theatre after an audition and two years later received the role of Cleopatra in the NYT production of "Antony and Cleopatra" at the Old Vic. She played in many stage productions during the years. As a film actress she was seen in "Excalibur, 2010: The Year We Make Contact", "The Long Good Friday", "White Nights", "Painted L ady", "The Prince of Egypt", "The Madness of King George", "The Mosquito Coast", "The Clearing", "Pride", "Raising Helen", "Age of Consent" and "Shadowboxer".

In June 2003 she was made Dame of the British Empire in the Queen's Birthday Honors. After one year she was one of the jury members at the Venice Film Festival. In 2007 she was the winner of Film Achievement, Greatest Britons.

On December 31, 1997 she married Taylor Hackford. She is a great woman, actress and wife and all the awards won prove how talented and dedicated to her work she is. We are sure her fans are numerous and they can't wait to see her future projects.
