Heinrich Olbers (1758-1840) was a German doctor and astronomer. Short Biography:
He discovered two of the first asteroids to be found, Pallas in 1802 and Vesta in 1807, as well as a number of comets, together with a new method of calculating cometary orbits.
He was the first to ask the question now known as Other's paradox: If the Universe is infinite, with an infinite number of shining stars, why is the night sky dark?
