Heather Mills (birth name Heather Anne Mills) was born on January, 1968 in Aldershot, Hampshire, England. She was a glamour model and now she is involved in many charity actions.
Biography and Career :
Just after she was born, her family moved to Washington and later on to County Durham. When she was only 9, her mother decided to leave home while Heather and her brothers remained with their father, not such a good person and sometimes abusive. Finally he ended up in jail while Heather went to London at her mother. Still, she left her mother's house and after trying many jobs she began a modeling career. In 1989 the relation between she and her mother improved, but unfortunately her mother died.
One year before she was seen in a book with pictures called "Die Freuden der Li
ebe", published also in America as "Sex Games".
In 1990 she went to Slovenia because she had to recover from an ectopic pregnancy. On May 6, 1989 she married Alfie Karmal, but the couple divorced two years later. Another rough moment for Heather was getting her leg amputated after being hit by a police motorcycle.
Meeting Paul McCartney made her abandon her fiancee and on June 11, 2002 the two had their wedding. The couple has one daughter born on October 28, 2003. Finally they filled for divorce.
Heather is involved in many charity actions and has helped so many people during the years that she received awards from the Open University of the United Kingdom, University of California, Irvine and the "Children in Need" award in 2004. She became a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Association of the USA and she defends animals rights and anti fur trade.
