Heather Headley was born on October 5, 1974 in Trinidad, West Indies. She is a singer and actress.
Biography and Career :
She studied at the Northrop High School and the Northwestern University. She sings R&B and soul. When her father was offered a job as pastor of McKee Street Church of God the family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana.
In 1997 she started her music career. That year she played a role in "The Lion King". She was also seen in a concert version of the musical "Dreamgirls" along side Audra McDonald.
In 2002 she released her first album called "This Is Who I Am". After four years she came out with "In My Mind". Both of the articles were certified gold. Her second album was more successful than the first and was placed on the 5th position in the US charts and on t
he 1st in the US R&B charts.
Some of her singles are "He Is", "I Wish I Wasn't", "Me Time", "In My Mind" or "Am I Worth It". On September 6, 2003 she married Brian Musso. She was the winner of Broadway's 2000 Tony Award as Best Actress for playing the title role in "Aida" of Elton John and Tim Rice's.
As a singer she is great, as a woman as well, so we are sure she will continue doing a great job.
