Hayley Sales (full name Julia Hayley Sales) was born on August 31, 1986 in Washington, D.C., USA. She is a young musician.
Biography and Career :
In 1989 the family moved to Portland, Oregon. She is not only a singer, but is a songwriter too. She began writing songs when she was a child and all her life was around good musicians who influenced her music.
In 2007 she released her first album called "Sunseed". She says she doesn't like living in big cities and likes better her parents' organic blueberry farm on Vancouver Island. One of her passions is surfing and when she has free time she practices a lot.
She had piano and guitar lessons as a child and then attended the Northwest Academy, which is a performing arts school. She had the chance to interview Dalai Lama and al
so tour with the UK with Hindu saint Shree Maa.
Until now (2007) she had appeared in more than 80 plays. At one point she decided to go to Los Angeles and start an acting career. Then she came back to her parents and had the inspiration to create the song "Drifter" which helped her sign a contract with Universal Music.
She performed at the Seattle's Northwest Folk Life festival. The Vancouver Island Music Awards' Female Vocalist of the Year title came like a prove to her talent and we are sure her career will continue in a spectacular way.
