Halley Wegryn Gross was born on December 27, 1985 and she is an American film, television, and stage actress who is also a playwright and screenwriter. She began her acting career at The Provincetown Playhouse, Manhattan in "The Cottingly Caper" with Leah Michelle and "Belongings" with Olivia Oguma. She has subsequently performed Off' Broadway in Charles Mee's acclaimed dramatic musical "True Love", David Rabe's "Hurlyburly" with Ethan Hawke, Parker Posey and Wallace Shawn, "Prime of Miss Jean Brody" starring Cynthia Nixon, Adam Rapp's "The Metal Children", Pippin Parker's "Armed and Naked in America". Regionally she performed in Lee Blessing's award winning 2 person play "Great Falls" at Actor's Theater of Louisville.

Her first television appearance was as Becca on "As the World Turns ",a candy stealing preteen who reminded Jake of Vicki. Since then she has appeared on "The Education of Max Bickford", Law and Order, Criminal Intent", "Book of Daniel", "Third Watch" and PBS.
Her film appearances include: Julie Taymor's "Across the Universe", with Amy Ryan and Michael Shannon in "The Missing Person", "The Babysitters" with John Leguziamo, "Lying" with Chloe Sevigny.

2009 Out of over four hundred submissions by many professional playwrights, her full-length play "Inherited" was a winner of The Great Plains Theater Conference, Mainstage Series. Additionally in 2009 out 1,300 submissions her play "Tina" was a finalist for the Heideman Award In the National Ten Minute Play Festival, The Actor's Theater of Louisville, Humana Festival.
