Guillermo Garcia Lopez was born on June 4, 1983 in La Roda (Albacete), Spain. He is a tennis player.
Biography and Career :
He started playing this sport when he was a child and in 2002 he became a professional tennis player. Salvador Navarro, his coach, is the person who is next to him during the tournaments and takes care of the trainings. His friend is Juan Carlos Ferrero and he is also a tennis player.
He is doing his training at the JC Ferrero Equelite Tennis Academy in Villena, Spain as well as Juan Carlos Ferrero. Until now (2007) he hasn't won any single or doubles ATP tournaments, but he earned almost one million dollars just from tennis.
At the Pacific Life Open he participated, reach the final and won against Marcos Baghdatis with the score 7-5, 7-5. In 2007 h
e was playing the quarter-finals of the tournaments in Estoril, Delray Beach and Nottingham before being eliminated.
As a doubles player, this year, he and Fernando Verdasco reached the final of the tournament in Stuttgart, but unfortunately they were eliminated. At Bastad he and Hernandez fought for the title but in the semi-finals and lost.
On June 11, 2007 he was ranked on the 57th position in Top 100 and this is the highest position he has ever achieved. His qualities, the talent and the fact that he is a hard-working person may help him to become one of the best tennis players.
