Greg Norman was born on the 10th of February 1955 in Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia. He is a professional golf player and lately an entrepreneur.
Biography and Career :
Before becoming a golf player he was a trainee in the Royal Queensland golf shop for the famed Charlie.
In 1974 he became a professional golfer and in 1976 won the Westlakes Classic.
He was ranked as world's number one golfer for 331 weeks in the 1980s and 1990s.
Among other tournaments won by him are the US Open two times, the PGA Tournament two times and Masters also two times.
He received the PGA Tour of Australia Order of Merit, the PGA Player of the Year in 1995, PGA Tour Player of the Year, the Vardon Trophy three times and the Byron Nelson Award.
On the 1st of July 1981 he married Laura Andrassy.
They have filed for divorce and have two children.
In his entire career he had won more than 70 tournaments. Among them is the British Open in 1986 and 1993.
He was chosen Honorary Ambassador of Peace for the Harvey Ball Foundation.
As owner of a 228 ft luxury yacht "Aussie Rules", built by Australia ferry builder Austal/Oceanfast, he travells a lot.
He is a great and talented player who has achieved many successes during his long career.
